Ain't Too Proud To Beg - The Temptations

"Ain't
Too Proud to Beg" is a 1966 song and hit single by The Temptations for
Motown Records' Gordy label, produced by Norman Whitfield and written by
Whitfield and Edward Holland, Jr. The song peaked at number 13 on the
Billboard Pop Chart, and was a number-one hit on the Billboard R&B
charts for eight non-consecutive weeks. The song's success, in the wake
of the relative underperformance of the previous Temptations single,
"Get Ready", resulted in Norman Whitfield replacing Smokey Robinson,
producer of "Get Ready", as The Temptations' main producer.

Amazing Grace Cherokee - PRAYER

Published on Jan 7, 2015
►Video (edited 2010-10) on my website click:
http://www.ine-pps.nl/?page=movies&it...
►Native American Prayer:
Oh Great Spirit,
Whose voice I hear in the winds,
And whose breath gives life to all the world,
hear me!
I am small and weak,
I need your strength and wisdom.
Let me walk in beauty, and make my eyes
ever behold the red and purple sunset.
Make my hands respect the things you have made
and my ears sharp to hear your voice.
Make me wise so that I may understand the
things you have taught my people.
Let me learn the lessons you have hidden
in every leaf and rock.
I seek strength, not to be greater than my brother,
but to fight my greatest enemy – myself.
Make me always ready to come to you with
clean hands and straight eyes.
So when life fades, as the fading sunset
my spirit may come to you
without shame.

►Pueblo Indian Prayer:
Hold on to what is good, even if it's a handful of earth...
Hold on to what you believe, even if it's a tree that stands by itself...
Hold on to what you must do, even if it's a long way from here...
Hold on to your life, even if it's easier to let go....
Hold on to my hand, even if I've gone away from you.

Memories

The more you love a memory, the stronger and stranger it is.
- Vladimir Nabokov

Memory Lane Has a Three-Way Fork

"In his magnum opus, In Search of Lost Time, Marcel Proust wrote that “remembrance of things past is not necessarily the remembrance of things as they were.”
That elegant line speaks to a simple truth: There are things you remember, and there are things you remember well. Even if you can recall a past event, your memories will vary considerably in how much detail they contain, and how correct those details are. In an elegant experiment, a team of neuroscientists led by Jon Simons at the University of Cambridge have shown that these aspects of our memoriesour success at recalling them, their precision, and their vividness—depend on three different parts of the brain."

Forever Young Lyrics

May God bless and keep you always
May your wishes all come true
May you always do for others
And let others do for you

May you build a ladder to the stars
And climb on every rung
May you stay
Forever young

Forever young
Forever young
May you stay
Forever young

May you grow up to be righteous
May you grow up to be true
May you always know the truth
And see the lights surrounding you

May you always be courageous
Stand upright and be strong
And may you stay
Forever young

Forever young
Forever young
May you stay
Forever young

May your hands always be busy
May your feet always be swift
May you have a strong foundation
When the winds of changes shift

May your heart always be joyful
May your song always be sung
And may you stay
Forever young

Forever young
Forever young
May you stay
Forever young

Sonny Boy Williamson II - "Trying to make London my Home"

Sonny Boy Williamson II - "Trying to make London my Home

Published on Jul 8, 2014
This video honors the 50th Anniversary of Sonny Boy Williamson participating
in the American Folk Blues Festival European Tour 1963 / 1964 and at
the same time the men behind the tour,

- Joachim Ernst Behrendt from SWR Radio / TV, who had the idea;
- Horst Lippmann from Lippman & Rau, who organized;
- Willie Dixon, the "Godfather of Blues", who had the connections.

Willie Dixon knew every blues musician in the US and named the best to Horst
Lippmann, who invited them to travel to Europe for this tour. They all
came! Howlin´ Wolf; John Lee Hooker; Memphis Slim and many, many others
of the finest. The tour made Blues much earlier popular in Europe than
in the United States.

You find here a compilation of allvideo-material about SBWII available from this tour,
from German, British, Swedish and Danish TV-Shows of that time.Willie Dixon plays
bass on several songs.

A tribute to some of the most important blues men ever
